Hello,

Prolapse of uterus occurs due to following causes: Ageing, menopause, weak support to the uterus, following injury during delivery, repeated pregnancies, inadequate rest after delivery etc. Depending upon the degree of prolapse, it can be treated by using vaginal pessaries which prevent the prolapse of cervix and uterus. Surgery is a permanent cure for this condition. Various types of operations are done depending upon the need.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks,
