I have a friend who was a heavy methamphetamine user in the past, while this is no longer an issue, she also has poor eating habits (she usually eats only one meal a day, and because we get a free employee meal at work often doesn't eat much on her days off. And has a fixation with candy, she can eat bags of the stuff in one sitting.) I have worked with her over 2 years now and the past couple of months the number of times she has called in sick or had to leave work early has gone up to a near weekly basis. (Almost always on Mondays) As she is too stubborn to go in and see a doctor, I have done internet research and her symptoms seem to be concurrent with hypoglycemia. I know that these poor lifestyle choices can lead to acute hypoglycemia, but I was wondering if a more chronic form can develop from either/both her past drug use or her current poor eating habits.
