Can Drugs And Injections Help Alleviate Knee Joint Pain?
My mother has pain in her legs for almost 2 months. Test reports are clear except ESR being at 40. My internet research showed me that this could be a basic stage of arthiritis. She is not able to walk due to pain in knee joints. Please recommend some treatment. Doctors have just recommended some drugs and an injection every week in knee which according to them is a supplement and will help to bbring back the lubrication lost in knee joint.
Hello thank you for writing us here. You're right with your research work on net. Its called arthralgia due to advancement in age, the synovial fluid starts drying causing pain in joints. The doctors are giving injections for the synovial fluid. She can also take NSAIDs like paracetamol or ibuprofen for pain. Rest she would be alright as she takes injections. God bless you and your dear mother.
Best regards, Dr Gunjan
