I have an eye that never stops weeping it itches and I thought it was allergies but I take allergy med from OC and they don t stop it. Now I have wiped my eye so much that it is sore and I am getting yellow matter coming from it at night and also during the day. Is this caused by dry eyes?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The yellow dry eyes are indicating possible infection of the eyes. Should check with your doctor as you might require prescription antibiotics orally and locally. Meanwhile, keep the eyes well clean. Wash with warm water and baby shampoo, rinse well, rinse with chamomile tea at the end. Then, should apply the medication as directed by your doctor.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Albana Sejdini, General & Family Physician
