Can Ducolax Be Taken For Larger Bowel Movements In Pregnancy?

my daughter is 4 months pregnant. She has not had a bowel movement in 4 days. She normally goes every day and all her life they are very large bowel movements. She is very concerned and hurting and all we have is Ducolax...Should she safely be able to take just one 5mg pill? to get relief...

During pregancy, constipation is extremely common. It is related to a slowing-down of your bowels AND the extra iron that is part of the prenatal vitamins. Stool softneres, such as dulcolax, are considered extremely safe during pregnancy, and in her case, would be recommended. Good luck to her!!
