Can Ear Infection Occur Without A Fever?

I have sharp pain in my left ear along with pressure at time. I do have TMJ but never felt this before. Sometimes I feel tingling around my ear & front part of eAr. I did have an episode of vertigo bCk in April and have since then had little dizzy spells. Doc put me on triamterene & that has helped with dizzies. Earrings started about 1 month ago. Can u have ear infection without a fever?

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello

welcome in H.C.M.

I have gone through your query regarding ear infection without fever.

I would like to say that chronic infection of ear are not associated with fever like chronic suppurative otitis media.

As you said about TMJ, this is also giving referred pain in ear. your feeling of dizziness is also indicating inner ear infection.

Now here become essential to consult ENT doctor for examination and essential investigations to find out the real facts and for planing for treatment.

Regards.
