Can Elevated Liver Enzymes And Monocytes Cause Low Grade Fever, Nausea And Headaches?
Hi! For the past few weeks I've had consistent low grade fever at night, headaches mostly on right side of head, low grade nausea, but no vomiting. Blood work shows elevated liver enzymes and monocytes. Have no std's, or urinary infections. Also have dark urine as a result of liver enzymes. Trying to get a gall bladder sonogram tomorrow. Your thoughts? I have no pain in my belly by the way.
Dear Friend Welcome to Health care magic. I am Dr Charu , I will shortly try to help you with my opinion. Riased liver enzyme and Monocytes can be because of some atypical infections. I advise you following workup: 1. LFT 2. Ultrasound abdomen 3. Viral Markers. Also, tell us if you are an alcoholic. Alcoholic hepatitis can present with jaundice , nausea. Also , you have low grade fever , that also indicates some infection. After your reports are there discuss with us. I strongly recommend Doxocycline course if no other cause for Jaundice is found. Based on the available details, this is my best advice for you. You should discuss with your doctor and share my opinion , I am sure he/she will agree to my opinion. Good Luck.
