Hi, i have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism over 2 years. In the last few weeks my gag reflex has been a problem, and I am retching with no particular cause quite a few times a day. Is it possible that my thyroid has become enlarged and is causing this?
Gag reflex occurs in few people under certain circumstances like having some sensitive foods, while taking certain drugs which are unpleasant to taste, in high intensity exercises like running , swimming etc. Thyroid do not cause this gag refex.
