My son now 24 years old. Three years before he attacked in Epillepsy . Primarily treatment at Dhaka by Medicine Doctor & he did not know me that epillepsy has good treatment at present. As his by treatment my son used tablet epillem crono 200 mg & cloron .5 . After his treatment he attacketd til now four times for the reason of irregular take pill. When he take regular the mentioned pill he is ok. When first treatment we done C T scane & EEG. There is no any other big problem found . Now I am very excited for my only one son. Now he is studying Mech. Engineering at Dhaka. I will treat my son your CMC Hospitals at Vellore. So I have some questions to you. Pl inform me. Is epillepsy cureable & approximate cost ? Is him hospitalised at your hospitsl ?
Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM. I understand your concern. Epilepsy is caused due to imbalance in electrical activity of the brain. Since he has been evaluated and found that there are no focal lesions in brain, there is nothing much to worry about. However, the treatment needs to be continued for long. There are good drugs which needs to be taken regularly to keep it under control. Only thing he needs to take care is he should not miss even a single dose of medications prescribed. He also should get followed up regularly. This disease cannot be cured completely. Over a period of time, if there is no recurrence of episode of attacks, then the drugs can be minimised and dose can be reduced. Later by investigations, the drugs can be tapered off completely or can be maintained at a minimal dose. But this may take many years. Hope the information helps you.
