Can Epilepsy Problem Cause Problems During Pregnancy?

HI, I am having epilepsy problem since 2007.I am 29 years old weighted abt 65KG,,got married last month. i was taking OXETOL earlier, and i was ok with this, since long i dnt had ny prob, but however by mistake i didnt continued my medcine, i had nt completed that course.due to that i got seizures after 3rd day of marriage.which is affecting my lyf.so i want to confirm can i have problems during pregnancy, if yes then how can we cure them. please help

Brief answer: Yes can cause problems,if not managed properly.
Detailed answer: If i am your physician,would suggest you with the following.
Target is to prevent seizures and its effect on the fetus.
1)to avoid strenuous activity and other seizure provoking stimuli(as pregnancy a state of decreased seizure threshold)
2)Safe seizure medication,preferably with single drug(like oxcarbamazepine or lamotrigine) at lowest effective dose
3)Take folic acid supplement daily dose of 5mg particularly during 3 months prior to conception and in the first trimester to prevent the chances of fetal anomalies.
4) to avoid antacids or get appropriately treated for nausea,vomiting while you are on seizure medication
