Hi,

Seizures are a rare side effect of Clarithromycin. It could the reason why you had the seizure. Please inform your doctor about this so this can be put in your medical record. This will help doctors in future to avoid prescribing clarithromycin for you if there are alternative options.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Wisdom Chuma, General & Family Physician
