Can Excessive Alcohol Intake Cause Sore Lower Back And Fatigue?

I was out drinking one night and had a little bit to much and I woke up the next day not able to keep any food down or water. The day after I was feeling better able to eat but still felt sick. The next say I was able to eat and go through with normal day activities but i feel out of it, weary and tired. Today I feel just very tired and weary still with a slight sorness in my lower back. I went working out and drank a lot of water and the soreness went away but kinda is still there any ideas?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
Excessive alcohol intake will cause tiredness for two reasons:
1. It provides empty calories to the body.
2. It leads to severe dehydration.
Hence, you need to take proper quantities of food as well as fluids to prevent it.
Since there is delay in proper intake of food and water, it has lead to your symptoms.
It would persist for few days and you would slowly recover from it.
Be careful next time not to repeat such a thing.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
Take care.
