Can Excessive Amount Of Gas In Abdomen Cause Chest Pain?

I get pain on the left side of my chest. It feels like if I were having a heart attack. Usually when I am able to belch it goes away right away. I suffer from irritable bowel syndrone and always seem to be very gassy. Can the excessive amount of gas cause a heart attack?

Hello,
It is absolutely right. If There is excessive gas trapped in your stomach,a person may feel chest pain because gas presses the diaphragm and this pressure gives the pain in chest.
However this gas can not result in heart attack.
Thanks
