Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

I would like to know your age first.

Your clinical history is pointing towards diagnosis of osteoarthritis of knee. Exercises do help in pain relief and improving gait. Recommended exercises are quadriceps and hamstring strengthening exercises, straight leg raising exercises. You should avoid squatting and crossed leg sitting.

I would like to know your X-ray and MRI report. If there is cartilage or meniscus injury surgery may help in relieving pain early.

Please feel free to contact me for further help.
