Can Feeding Infant Formula Since Day One Cause Loose Stools Later?

My 2mos and 2weeks son is expeiencing loose stools for about 4 days now and he haf a fever for 2 days.. He had fecalysis and blood tests.. Fecalysis says he has brown stool and fat globules, few. The doctor dignose he has lactose intolerance.could that be possible that he s been drinking infant formula since day one and lactose intolerance just seen because of his loose stools? I change his milk to a lactose free milk but still he has loose stools only its yellowish now. Why is that?his fever only lasted for a day by the way..pls help me

Yes lactose intolerance can be diagnosed little later, and that can happen.

Now chance it to zero lactose milk. If he is still having the problem, ask your doctor to suggest specific brands with no lactose in your area.

Fever may not be related to any infection and it is good that it settled down. Fever can occur in babies if they get irritable for any cause.
