Can Fever After Delivery Cause Any Problem To The Breastfeeding Baby?
Hi, i m 25 years old. Is it normal to have fever after one month of delivery ? I am having fever since last two days. I took paracetomol and got relief but again i had fever next day with a headach. The pain is at the back side above the neck. I am breast feeding so will it affect the baby ?
Fever is a sign of infection somewhere in the body or could be due to breast engorgement, so breastfeeding the baby during fever might carry the risk of transferring the microbes causing infection. You need to find out the cause of fever,-and get treated to avoid infection to the baby. Taking Paracetamol would relieve the fever but find the cause and treat the cause is equally important.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
