Can Fever Be Related To A Bruise, Caused By An Accidental Fall?

2 days ago I slipped on my indoor wooden stairs and fell down 4 steps on my butt..the bruise is large and reddish purple, covering the center and right side of my buttocks. I have a low grade fever, 100.5. I can walk around with stiffness but not pain. The pain comes with any touch to the bruise. Could the fever be related and require medical attention or is it likely to be a separate virus?

Hi, sure! an injury can cause a collection of inflammatory fluid that can cause reactionary fever, because the body is trying to heal the injury.
