Delay in periods can be due to overweight or low body weight, stress (mostly), polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) or thyroid problems or few other causes. Also you are on birth control pills. I advise you to: 1. Check I've hemoglobin levels 2. Thyroid function test 3. USG pelvis to rule out any underlying pathology 4. Do YOGA & stress management 5. Nutritious diet rich in protein and iron 6. Hot compress in abdomen and back 7. Cap. Meftalspas for cramps
Consult a gynecologist for further assistance.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Yogapriya Vasudevan, General & Family Physician
