Can Fibroids In Uterus Cause Pain In Pelvic Area, Legs And Abdomen?

Hi I was just wondering, do fibroids make you feel sick. I just found out today that I have 2 fibroids I m my uterus or on it. Not sure if in the inside or on the outside. I am ha ring frequent headaches, pain on the pelvic area and pain on my legs as well. I also have lost my appetite and I hate the smell of food. I was just wondering how bad this could be. Bending and reaching over causes me a lot of pain in the abdominal area, body aches and my belly is enlarging too. I weighed 56 kgs 7 months ago and now I weigh 67 kgs. I am really scared especially that I had a tumor removed from my eyelid 10 yrs ago. Should I really be worried? Thanks.

Hello ma'am and welcome.

The main factor here would be the fibroid size and location, and youe age. The fibroida re clearly causing a hormonal imbalance which is the cause for all your symptoms. I would recommend a more elaborate evaluation to check on the location, size and extent of the fibroids. Depending on these factors added to your age and completion of family staus, we can decide our approach. The fibroids will indefinitely have to be treated, and in the most effective approach is undoubtedly surgery, but as mentioned all the factors come into play. Medications and methods to cut off supply to the fibroids can be tried before surgery is considered, speak to youe doctor in detail.
