Can Flu Shot Cause Pain In Shoulder Blades Which Goes Into The Ribs?
Hello, I had a lot of shoulder into neck pain..had it checked out..even as far as to have a heart cath. Turned out great! Cardiologist said I have the heart of an eighteen year old! Now 5 days later have a lot of pain in shoulder blades and it goes lower into my ribs. Also a lot of rifting..going to schedule an endoscopy soon. I was recently on avelox and 40 mg per day of steroids for bronchitis..I also take 5mg of prednisone and 200 mg plaquinil with 2 -2mg of frolic acid a day with 4-2-1/2 mg methotrexate per wk. which I have not taken for 4 wks because of all the illness I ve been experiencing. By the way, I am 63 yrs. old, female. Also, had a flu shot yesterday which 2 hrs after is when the back pain started. Could the back pain be from reflux?
After detail history which you have provided most of money cause which I can think of for your pain in either rheumatoid arthritis or cervical spondylitis. As You have omitted methotrexate, it has increased the pain. What is your esr and ra factor level. I would recommend you to get an x ray of cervical spine. Also avoid using heavy pillow. Apart from medications you can use cervical coller, and diclofenec ointment.
