Can Formula Milk Be Given To Children Along With Breastfeeding?
Hi. I have a twin baby boy weighing 1.5 and 1.8 they are in bottle feeding with ny breast milk but unfortunately my breastmilk is not enough for my twins. Upon check up pedia doctor gave me a formula to help me in feeding my twins.. Is this safe to go on formula at breast feeding at the same time?
Hi Thanks for trusting HealthCare magic for your health problems.
Usually upto 6 months infant should be kept on breastmilk. After that add on food should be started for extra supplements required for growth of children. But in your case if breast milk is not enough to fed twin and they seem to be hungry you can give milk formula or cow milk.
