Can Gallstones Cause Abdominal Pain And Nausea?

Wednesday, I had an ultra sound and found gall stones. I am having surgery on 118/. But the last two days, extreme nausea (no vomiting) but the pain in now lower in the top of my abdominal area, This is below the pains I had in my lower rib area on the right side, the other day. Is that common? My right side is very tender and sore to the touch, like rolling over in bed onto my right side. Is this just from the gall stones?

Hi . Thanks for posting on hcm.
From what you said I suppose you might be suffering from a condition called cholecystitis due to gall stones. Here the gall bladder gets infected and inflammed due to gall stones which causes the pain below the right rib cage where the gall bladder is situated.
Usually gall bladder removal is suggested depending on the severity and recurrence which is done once the infection is subsided.
I would recommend you to consult a doctor to be examined and take antibiotics for the infection and painkillers for the pain and whether the surgery is necessary.
