Can Gardening Work Adversely Affect Rheumatoid Arthritis Being Treated With Infusions?

I am on Remicade for my severe RA, diagnosed in 1992 had it possibly since mid eighties, neg, tests. I have been getting infusions since mid Nov 2013. Will working in my garden, weeding and generally working I the dirt be dangerous for me? I worry about fungal and bacterial issues. My little voice tells me this is not a good idea. Am I being paranoid? Thank you for you time.

hello,
It should not really matter as long as you are taking general precautions like washing hands thoroughly after gardening etc.
Infections rates are higher in people on remicade but this should not be an issue.
