Can Garlic Be Used As Vaginal Suppository During Pregnancy?

Hi, I want to use garlic as a vaginal suppository indefinitely. I ve found it s effective at treating yeast infection. I can tolerate the garlic smell/taste. I really appreciate the freedom it gives me to know I can freely have sex with my husband knowing I won t be giving him a yeast infection I didn t know I had. We are going to start trying to conceive very soon. Once we become pregnant I d like to continue using garlic as a vaginal suppository to control yeast infection. Can I do this knowing it is completely safe for the baby? At all stages of pregnancy. Thank you

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

You should not use garlic or other materials, especially during pregnancy. It will cause unwanted complications like infection. Consult a gynaecologist and get evaluated. You might require clotrimazole tabs.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
