Can Gentle Exercise Loosen Up Scar Tissue?

I am having lower abdominal discomfort. My doctor ordered a sonogram which ruled out ovarian cancer. I had a tummy tuck five years ago and I have had a tightness and some discomfort since but this is more than usual. She felt I had pain from scar tissue. Can pain from scar tissue become worse with exercise?

Hello,

Pain on the scar may be related to hernia when organs come out through the opened or not well closed scar. This may be made worse by exercising because more pressure on abdomen is exerted. You may need to repair it surgically.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
