Can Getting Stabbed By Needle Used By AIDS Patient Cause HIV?
hello doctor i want to ask you one of my friend stabbed his hand and then he stabbed me and i think he has aids but the needle has no blood , do you think i will get aids/hiv ? and also there is only 1 question when i went to the bathroom i catched the door knob to close it then i touched my penis to pee , so do you think i will get aids?
Hello Your friend stabbed a needle in his hand and then stabbed same needle in your hand . Your friend was having HIV infection ( a suspect case ) . You bolted the door with hand and touched your penis with same hand , no chance of getting HIV infection by this rout. The stabbing by the needle is a cause of concern in your case . If your friend was HIV infected then there is a chance of getting HIV infection by you is very high. The use of same needle in many patient spread HIV infection and this is documented proof in various countries including in India ( by quacks by same needle ) . In my opinion consult an HIV clinic and get their opinion. Good luck.
