Hi,I am Dr. Gopal Goel (Orthopaedic Surgeon). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
Can Growing Pain In The Hips Be Caused Due To Arthritis?
I have severe right hip adductor pain. This is going on for nearly three months. X-ray and MRI showed nothing but a little arthritis, not serious enough for surgery. The pain becomes unbearable if I sit on a hard chair. I periodically take prednisone or meloxicam. Otherwise I rely on Ibuprofen. Nothing takes the pain away, but if I lie down ( for as long as I can bear it), the pain when walking is slightly improved. Can you help me?
It may be due to sciatica. You can take analgesics like Tramadol or gabapentin for pain relief. If symptoms persist, you can consult a neurologist and get evaluated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
