Can Growth Between The Discs Be Cancer?

Our Son has diabetes. He has been complaining of back pain. He had an MRI yesteday and they have admitted him to the hospital. They are saying he has a growth between the discs. They plan on treating it with antibiotics. Does it sound like cancer or something else?

Your son is diabetic and having backpain.you have been told growth between discs after Mri scan and treating with antibiotics.probably it is diskitis due to disc infection which is more common in diabetics.the growth of disk they are saying may be disc bulge which is more common as age increases.dont worry .
