Can Hamstring Tendinitis Cause Severe Pain In The Buttocks?

Hi, Having severe pain left lower buttock. Doc said seems to be muscular as I didn t fall from anywhere and prescribed signoflam twice in a day, myotop, and rantac. I understand that this could be hamstring tendinitis. Currently I am doing hot compress. How can I differentiate this from avulsion in terms of symptoms? With painkiller the pain is almost gone.

I have gone through your query and understand your concern. The cause could be hamstring muscle pull/stiffness or pinched nerve at lower back.To help you further please tell me-
1.Is there any numbness or tingling sensation in leg?
2.Do you have radiating pain from buttock to back of thigh and going up to foot?
3.Does the pain increases on bending forward in standing position with knee fully straight(in extension)?
Meanwhile you may take rest along with muscle relaxant drug like thiocolchicoside beside ibuprofen. Your local pharmacist/GP might know about it .
Looking forward to your reply.
Take care
