Can Having Sex During Periods Cause Painful Contraction In Vagina With Spotting?

Hi doc,while on my period I had rough sex with my hubby and the next day my period stoped then a week later we had sex again but I wasn t well lub. Then I started getting pains when I pee. The pharm gave me amoxil and mycoten pills. Almost a week now and the pain has not stopped.then I started having painful contractions inmy vagaina and then I noticed spotting. Pls help oh am also trying to have a baby so am confused. Thanks

Hi, Thanks for posting in HCM.
Having sex during periods is not advisable as there is not enough scope for lubrication during this period. If you had rough sex on top of that, it would have caused vaginal mucosal injuries. That's why you are experiencing pain and spotting.
If you are trying for baby, have inercourse during fertile period between 10 - 20 days from your period. Chances of conceiving will beore during this time.
