Can Having Sex Soon After Childbirth Cause Pregnancy?
helllo me and husband just had a baby, we had sex a few times..i was told i was going to have my period withsix weeks of having baby which was jan 12 2015 havent had my period since before coming out hospital havent had no symtoms of pregnancy either.
i understand your concern it is highly unlikely that you are pregnant, if you are actively breast feeding your newborn.
It has long been observed that breastfeeding delays the return of menstruation in new moms. The lactational amenorrhea method (LAM) is a natural birth control technique based on the fact that lactation (breastmilk production) causes amenorrhea (lack of menstruation).
Studies have confirmed that women who exclusively breastfeed their baby around-the-clock and who have not started menstruating are very unlikely to get pregnant during the first six months after they give birth.
