Can Having Unprotected Sex Before Starting A New Pack Of Birth Control Cause Pregnancy?

I am on the birth control pill and last month I had gotten my perio . Right at the end of my period and before starting my new pack I had unprotected sex. I then started my new pack of pills, half way into the month I started to spot, and it lasted for about 3 days and only when I wiped, a brownish color. I am now a week late with getting my period, I am going through a stressful time so i am hoping that s the reason, but could I be pregnant?

Hello.

Even while on the pill, there is a small chance of getting pregnant. So yes, it is possible that you are pregnant, but an easy way to be sure is to just get a pregnancy test.
