Can Having Unprotected Sex While On Petogen Cause Pregnancy?
Hi Dr I am on petogen since april this year and I am due on the 22 of October for my next injection, we had unprotecred sex with my boyfreind for several times and the problem is i started to feel nauseous and I feel something is moving in my womb..I am starting to panic now I think I am pregnant , is it possible to fall pregnant when you on petogen?
Quick answer: Petogen is very effective from a few weeks after the first injection up to about 2 weeks after the injection due date. Doing a pregnancy test is a quick way to reassure yourself - the ones you can buy in drug stores are accurate.
Detailed answer:
With an injection due October 22, you should be well protected until about November 7. If you did not get another injection, you could get pregnant after that time.
Pregnancy tests generally are accurate after about 5-6 weeks. Most of the time, nausea does not start until at least 5-6 weeks. A pregnancy test that you can buy in a drug store can give you a quick reassurance and then you can get your next injection.
