Can Hay Fever Cause Muscle Aches?

Can hay fever cause muscle aches? I am 53, 6'2", 207 lbs. I get hay fever every spring (about now). It feels exactly like the flu (headache, cough, runny nose, muscle ache) except most of the symptoms go away if I lock myself in my room with the hepa air purifier on full blast.
