Can Hearing Loss Be Due To Calcification Around My Ear?

I have calcification around my thyroid around my knuckles ,ankles heels and I am curious if the reason I have strong hearing loss could be calcification in my inner ear as well. does magnesium help to lessen the calcification there appears to be be no explanation for my hearing loss . I am 58 and my hands look like I am 90

Hi.
Thanks for your query and an elucidate history.

Your history of calcification around thyroid, knuckles, ankles, heels indicates that there is a possibility of the similar change in the middle ear.

The middle ear inside the eardrum is composed of three smallest bones - the malleus, incus and stapes and ave the joints. These joints can get ankylosed making them immobile to cause the hearing loss.

This can be easily diagnosed by doing Audiometry. If it shows the conductive healing loss alone, surgery will help the most .
