Can Hepatitis-B Vaccine Be Taken Before Planning For Pregnancy?
i have first time jaundice on dec 2009 and my dr. admit me in hospital and inform me i am suffring from acute viral hepetitis b infection but after one month i dicharged from hospital and feel normal . after 5 month i was married and after 6 month test shows me that i am cure from hepetitis b infection ? and 4 months before i checked to my wife she also not having infection . Dr. told me i dont need vaccination against hepetitis b now but is my wife required hepetits b vaccination or not now we have going to plan for a baby. kindly reply

After getting infection by hepatitis B, not all develop into carrier of hepatitis B...
95% case resolved completely after acute infection
You both can investigated with ELISA testing for hbsag detection
If negative than you both are free from carrier and than you both can put vaccine for preventing future infection if needed
