Hi,

Osteoarthritis is the condition causing inflammation of the joint results in disturbance in mobility. Most common osteoarthritis is the knee joint osteoarthritis. It is the common one and most painful one more than the hip joint. Hip joint osteoarthritis involves damage to the articular cartilage that is erosion of the cartilage, involvement of the subchondral bone, synovium, ligament and joint capsule. Most common etiology is ageing.

But it can occur in early age in case of previous injury to the joint. Common symptoms are pain and stiffness associated with reduced range of motion. Pain starts initially as an on and off which progressively cause prolonged and persisting pain affecting the groin, thigh, buttocks and knee. Stiffness is seen in severe osteoarthritis which get improved with motion. Injury to the joint, loading of weight may provoke the joint osteoarthritis. Appropriate diet is advised for betterment of the condition.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
