Can Herniated Disc Cause Severe Lower Back Pain, Have Spinal Fracture History?

Hi I fell two years ago and fractured my c4 c5. My c4 went into my spinal cord and c5 trapped nerves. After my first surgery I woke up and could barely walk. There was a constant pain shooting from my neck to my toes. After a year of physical therapy and every pain med you could imagine I was told that there was nothing else my dr could do and I needed to file for social security because this was as good as it was going to get. I decided to get a second opinion and was told that the cage the first dr put in was to large and it was causing spinal hyperextension into my spinal cord and needed surgery asap. When speaking to the dr afterwards he told me that the bones had rubbed together causing shards hogged into my spinal cord and he was unable to get them all. He fused c4 c5. The pain was a little better at first but three months later I was in constant pain. Long story short I had my third surgery 11 months later. Fusion of 567 was done. 2 months later my pain was back and I also have severe lower back pain. mri showed herniation of l5 s1. dr won t fix until neck heals. 3 1/2 months post op (yesterday) I ended up in ER because severe pain in neck and lower back with horrible spasms all night and morning. I could not get them under control. New constant pain since is shooting pains in my angus and into vagina. I have had them before but it was never like this...I literally double over. Will the herniated disc cause this pain?

Hi , I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
Yes herniated disc can put pressure and compress the spinal nerves that supplies the pelvic region and legs.
Its really painful condition and I appreciate your efforts.
Hope I have answered your question and if you have any other query please feel free to ask.
