Can High BP Be Controlled By Diet And Exercises?

Hi, My Dr. discovered that my BP was 146/103 today. I ve been checking it throughout today and it has averaged in the mid 140s/100. At rest both mind and body, it was still 143/100. Should I start medication right away or try to manage it first with diet, exercise, etc?

Since it is borderline, yes...you can give a try to control BP through diet and exercise. Consume low salt diet and take brisk walk regularly for 40 min. Exercise will bring down your anxiety and also helps to lower cholesterol levels. Consume less carbohydrate and low fat diet. Increase protein and fibre rich diet.
Get BP checked regularly once a month.
