Hello.
I understand how stressful this can be. Firstly, I would like to explain it to you that noticing bleeding and passing clots during
pregnancy is not considered normal. It could be possible that the bleeding has been due to the
high blood pressure levels. It is important to keep the blood pressure levels under control and sometimes, the doctor may advise to start medications for the same. It is important to know your weight, previous pregnancies, any miscarriages and any underlying medical conditions. It is important to monitor the blood pressure levels regularly every day even while at home. Avoid salt intake, fatty/oily foods, sugars and eat plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, once the doctor has advised to don routine activities and done with complete blood rest, start walking for 30 mins everyday, try not to exceed 8 to 10 kg weight gain throughout pregnancy.
It is important to get the blood sugar levels, urine analysis to look for any protein, renal and liver function tests, complete blood picture and thyroid profile. If you notice any upper
abdominal pain, breathlessness, increasing
pedal edema or leg swelling,
dizziness, blurring of vision or decreased urine output, nausea or
vomiting or headache, report to the gynecologist immediately. High blood pressures before 12 weeks of gestation are considered as chronic
hypertension that has not been diagnosed earlier. Hence, it is important to monitor the levels closely. Get complete bed rest and if in case of any spotting or bleeding visit the doctor immediately. Hoping the best for you!
