Can High Blood Pressure Levels Be A Cause For An Accidental Fall?

my husband is having back pain , blood pressure is elevated was admitted to hospital was showing actively having a heart attack on ekg he was released no blockage shown heart looked good. Now he is home with new bp meds and blood pressure elevated 178/110 and pain are back in his back. He fell a couple of weeks ago and dangled from a truck. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Definitely no. Sudden fall doesn’t elevate Bp in any person. It may be hereditary and due to lifestyle changes. Take prop medicine and have some physical activity along with peace of mind.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr SUSHMA PRIYANKA TANGELLA, General & Family Physician
