Can High Testosterone Cause Hairfall During Pregnancy?
I have been told by my doctor that I have high testosterone. I'm a 32 year old female. I also have bad skin and am on medication for it. I did not have bad skin until a couple of years ago. Is this from my testosterone level? Also, I heard that when you're pregnant you hair does not fall out. I'm pregnant and my hair is still falling out? is this due to testosterone?
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Hair fall is very common during pregnancy due to hormonal changes. But the hair do come back post delivery and post lactation. I suggest do not worry much about the hairfall at this period. Enjoy your pregnancy and make sure you eat right.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
