Can History Of Alcohol Drinking Cause Liver Damage?
I am a 49 year old male. I have a history of drinking alcohol. During my college years I drank heavily. 4-8 drink daily generally. Following that period and for about the next 10 years I was a 'binge" drinker. No alcohol for a couple of weeks then everything I could drink in one night. For the last 8 or so years 2-4 drinks 4-5 nights a week. I seem now to become easily intoxicated. Is this a symptom of liver damage?
If a person used alcohol daily then he develops tolerance or requirement of progressive higher doses of alcohol for intoxication. Reverse tolerance occur after stopping alcohol for prolong time. So, liver damage and reverse tolerance expected cause of intoxication in your case.
