Hi,I am Dr. Santosh Kondekar (Pediatrician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
my daughter is 8 year-old there is a small cataract in her eyes. according to ophthalmologist there is a central opacity and it is due to attachment of persistent papillary membrane to anterior capsule of lens. At present she is wearing power glasses and she is having 90% vision. Is there any hope in homeopathy medicine. please help me .
If cataracts are not causing any problems, immediate treatment may not be necessary. Instead, your child may only need regular check-ups to monitor their vision. If your child's vision is affected by cataracts, they will usually need to have surgery to remove the cloudy lens (or lenses) followed by the long-term use of glasses or contact lenses. Homeopathy has no role to play in treatment of cataract. Over the counter homeopathic eye drops available in the market do not do any good and lengthen the process of cataract maturation causing further problem to the patient for a longer duration. Homeopathy is not recommended in the cases of cataract. For further questions, do contact us.
