Can Hookah Smoke Affect Someone With Reactive Airways?

How will second-hand hookah smoke affect someone with reactive airways disease? My daugther says it is harmless because it is water-filtered but I believe differently. I think if you see smoke it will affect her breathing even if she doesn't smoke it.

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Hookah smoking affects the person smoking it as well the person exposed to passive smoke.
Smoke and certain chemicals present in smoke irritates the airways.
Smoke can aggravate the respiratory diseases and can also lead to new disease of the airways.
Reactive conditions like asthma, bronchitis, etc are aggravated by smoke.
Exposure for long durations can lead to dysplasia and even carcinoma of the lungs.

Thanks and take care
