Can Hormonal Imbalance And Viral Meningitis Cause Long Menses?

I am a 31 year old female, overwieght (5'7 275 lbs) and never been sexually active. I was diagnosed with viral menegitis (caused by herpes and aggrivated by stress) about 2 1/2 years ago. I feel like my period is in reverse. I will go all month with bleeding except about 3 continues days. The flow is normal and I have no other symptoms (like cramping or pain). This has been going on for almost 2 years. I have had a long history wit stress and thought it was related to that but all the major stress factors have been resolved about 3 or 4 months ago and it still continues. I have also been getting hair on my chin and think I might have a hormone imbalance. Any suggestions?
