I have a node under my left arm that appears a bit larger than right arm. I am 1 week past menstral cycle and was wondering if hormones can cause this. Also, I have had many test over past 2 yrs to diagnose a thoracic back pain just left of spine. I am currently seeing therapist for mycrofacial treatments. All of tests taken including ad and lung X-rays, ct scan, hida scan, back MRI have been good.
Hormones do not cuse arm nodes. Arm nodes are called axillary lymph nodes. These nodes are not usually palpable. When an infection develops in the body like fever, sore throat, upper respiratory tract infections, these nodes become swollen and are easily palpable.if these nodes are movable and painless, they are due to infectios, once the infection treated nodes swelling decreases. If the nodes increase in size, fixed and if the symptoms like persistent fever, night sweats present , weight loss are noticed, then further evaluation is required to rule out causes.
