Can Household Cleaner Fumes Cause Hoarse Voice?
Was cleaning with a household cleaner something I have used multiple times, ever since have been hoarse seems to be not be getting any better and this has been well over 1 week. I am a 44 year old female smoked for over 25 years. Should I be concerned or just give it more time to clear up.

Noted your history about using household cleaner over years, smoking for 25 years, but developed hoarse voice that is not clearing for 1 week, wants to know whether to wait and not.
One week of hoarse voice in a 44 year old female must be investigated.
Hence I would advise you the following:
Consult an ENT Surgeon asap for laryngoscopy so that the exact cause of hoarse voice can be knbown which can be anything as follows:
Laryngitis with vocal cord edema.
Vocal cord polyp.
Cancer.
Adjuvant Ct scan if required.
Further management will be as per the cause found.
Till then have complete rest to voice.
Take steam inhalations.
Do not use the household cleaner.
Avoid all sort of chemicals and fumes.
Avoid too hot or too cold.
