Hello, my wife has several medical issues. One we are dealing with is low vitamin D. She takes a steroid called hydrocort . My question is, can hydrocort block vitamin D absorption in the small intestines or does it just eat away at what ever vitamin D your tying to put in your body. My wife has tried to take 50,000 IU s, and with in two days she gets a severe stomach ache from it. She feels like she dumps every thing that was eaten for her morning and evening meals. As a child, she always had problems taking children s vitamins, they would make her throw up. She has been tested for celiacs disease, witch was negative. She is unable to get natural vitamin D for the sun light do to other medications that she takes. Or is part of it due to the loss of the enzymes in the intestines. We are looking for a positive direction to help with this vitamin D problem. Thank you for your time, Tom.
