Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia a few years ago but I was just reading about Hypothyrodism and I have many of the symptons that were in the article. I have had my thyroid checked and my Dr said it was fine. Could my Fibro really be Hypothyrodism??
Hypothyroidism can cause some similar symptoms as compared to fibromyalgia but if your hormone levels were assessed and normal, then this would mean that there are no issues with your thyroid gland. If you want to make sure, you can have the tests repeated.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
